That video was taken at Wat Bo, some of the bodies intentionally brought there for all to see. Where is the female that was completely burned? You dont have to be a fire expert, observing the badly burnt on her body is not due to electricity. The place was completely sealed for crime scene yesterday, disallowed anyone except for those in their circle to go in and look.
The girl who died has a 6 years old child, even though she somewhat messed up her life, but she, a native Svay girl from Banteay Menchay does everything to support him as a mother should, his name is Sar. For those who are interested -- the owner used to be a motodop at TaSom guesthouse. Everyone in my circle knows him. His is too cool to hangout with his mates now ever since he became wealthy.
If the Australian embassy is still interested to get to the bottom of the truth I will be more than happy to help, free of charge!

Some of the newer hotels being built by foreigner investors are including sprinkler systems and fire alarms but they choose tinker toy Chinese products which are as good as putting nothing in.

Apparently there is some sort financial/compensation argument to be sorted. Maybe also, just my guess, for foreign journalists to analyze the bodies placed at the pagoda. De Ja fucking Vu.

you mean it may have been arson, or even someone was killed and then the fire to cover up?
Re: 5 Dead Including 1 Foreigner in Hip-Hop Club Fire, Siem

The families of three of the five people killed in a fire that gutted a Siem Reap City nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday are demanding between $3,000 and $4,000 each in compensation from the venue’s owner, a police official said Wednesday.
Just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, a blaze ripped through the Hip Hop Restaurant & Discotheque, killing four Cambodians—Prum Phiron and Soeun Savon, both 31; Cheng Savien, 33; and Chea Sreiny, 36—and an Australian national, Tom Ricketson, 32, according to deputy Siem Reap provincial police chief Thorng Sakun.
“The relatives of Cheng Savien, Chea Sreiny and Soeun Savon filed complaints with the [provincial] court and are demanding compensation of $3,000 to $4,000,” he said yesterday, adding that Prum Phiron’s family had not yet filed a complaint because they were busy with funeral arrangements.
Mr. Sakun said Tom Ricketson’s family had not filed a complaint, either, but that his body had been given to the Australian Embassy.
“The Australian victim’s body was handed over to an Australian Embassy representative, and he took him to Phnom Penh today in an embassy van,” he said.
The deputy police chief named two women injured in the fire as Ath Sarath, 24, and Yat Sreymao, 33—both of whom worked at the nightclub—and said they would not file a complaint because the owner, Lee Meng Srin, was “taking care of them at the hospital.”
Mr. Sakun said police had yet to question the nightclub’s owner, who had apparently sent a lawyer to negotiate with the victims’ families.
“I heard that Hip Hop’s owner sent a lawyer to contact the victim’s families and help with their funerals,” he said.
Mr. Meng Srin could not be reached Wednesday.
Mr. Sakun also said Wednesday that investigators concluded the fire was caused by a short circuit in an electrical wire in the ceiling.
Attached to the gate in front of the nightclub Wednesday was a small Australian flag, a bouquet of yellow flowers, a photo of Tom Ricketson and a note to him, part of which read:

The Khmer news also said that the police were still investigating the exact cause.
A Siem Reap judge said the Hip-hop Nightclub owner must compensate the victims, and if he was found to be negligent, he will also be charged with Involuntary Manslaughter.

Re: 5 Dead Including 1 Foreigner in Hip-Hop Club Fire, Siem
Not sure if it has been covered in the foreign news media. During the chaos the security guards asked to lock the main exit for customers who haven't paid their bills causing more death due to panic/stampede/fire (the person I asked was not sure which one of the 3) basing from the witnesses from the outside. If you have been there, which I had several times...customers inside the building have to pay on the spot, whereas the outside place are marketed for those who want to spend less i.e. 6000 riel for a pitcher of beer and around 2 dollars for the side dish (which is the main attraction).
Dont trust what the Khmer news media is feeding you (obvious for those been here long enough). But this incident is just surreal. One of the victims in the posted video held a ceremony yesterday, the owner of the Hip Hop nightclub contributed 300 bucks to the funeral. I rode past the place again last night, and there were around 7 security guards blocking and guarding the main entrance. Even though, in painful truth that we'll never discover the real truth. But iff we let this shit go one and the perpetrators can always walk away free. This vicious cycles, as it always been for the past 30 years will continue.
