The VP pick typically has almost zero bearing on the election outcome. The most impact usually is if they can help carry their home state...which in this case is California which is already in the win column for the Democrats.

As of Today, Nate Silver's 538 web page shows Biden with a little over 70% chance to win compared to Trump's 29%. The bad news for the Dems is that these were the exact same odds that Nate Silver showed for Hillary the day before the 2016 election. You cannot win a national election from your basement, and you cannot win a national election by being against someone else..with no positive agenda of your own.

Also, there is the largest gap in voter enthusiasm ever measured for candidates in a national election. There are zero yard signs or tee shirts for Biden. He has ran three times and was always a terrible candidate. I think young people and minorities might not bother going to the polls for Biden. Trump voters, on the other hand, are wildly enthusiastic and will 100% turn out to vote. If you only look at which side's base is motivated, you can nearly always correctly predict elections.

Right now on www.sportsbetting.ag, Biden is -130 to win. This means that he is the favorite and you must wager 130.00 to win 100.00. If anyone is in PP, and would like to get their money on Biden, I am happy to back the wager.

Trump wins by a mile.

in most elections i'd agree
BUT
in this one, as there is a very good chance Biden wont live thru 4 years and has already stated he will not seek a 2nd term in the white-house, the vp is a very important person.

FYI
ur typical Trump supporter

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Kamala Harris didn't get nomination for VP, she is running for President.

The democrats play the "She" narrative again. Kamala Harris has been humiliated during the primary, especially the Tulsi Gabbard episode. Democrats got rid of Sanders as usual, they also probably didn't want Warren so brought Harris.

Biden might leave the campaign at a certain point or if he is elected , he will leave the office.

Indeed, she did have no answer for Gabbards take-down. Successful prosecutor but not so great at defending her own actions. I'd still give Trump 50/50 odds of winning.

Unfortunately that is not your typical Trump supporter. While there certainly are people such as above who support Trump, your typical Trump supporter is really your amiable mother or grandmother. They are typically older and are fed up with the way the country has been run into the ground. It is fun to malign those who support Trump, but it is dangerous to start believing your own biases. Most Trump supporters aren't stupid. They are simply angry and no longer willing to listen to the narrative the mainstream media tries to project. They want to return to the America of their youth, and Trump is the only candidate who is offering that to them. That doesn't mean Trump doesn't get his share of white trash, but one could just as easily paint all Democrats are Antifa approving terrorists.

This has never been an election between Republicans and Democrats. This is an election between the elite of the country along with those who generally benefit from the current state of affairs, and those that have been left behind. Trump simply hijacked the Republican party to pander to the latter group for his own glory. The Republican elite certainly don't like Trump. Witness all the RINOs in his own party.

I personally think Trump is going to lose this one, and I don't think that is a bad thing, but the problems that resulted in Trump's election in 2016 haven't gone away. And the methods that the Democrats have used in this election campaign have only made the problems worse. Just wait until the next Trump like demagogue comes to power in the USA. He'll be even worse, and you'll be wishing for Trump to come back. Ignore the genuine anger of the electorate at your own peril.
