Re: NEW: Cambodian Entry Requirements for Foreigners Revised
Not all businesses. Many are relying on CDC “guidance” and are applying rules as they see fit, which is even more convoluted since each state is applying their own rules.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 1:23 amUS is still at level 4 = do not fly internationally.aggro wrote:Another thing to consider is that most people in the West aren't exactly looking to take an international vacation at the moment. So even if countries opened and regular flights were reestablished it wouldn't necessarily mean full planes of tourists.
Businesses are taking this seriously.
Employees not allowed to take business trips abroad. Personal trips abroad are strongly discouraged.
If an employee ignores corporate orders comes back from Cambodia, mandatory 14 day self quarantine, using paid time of off (after 3 weeks in Cambodia = zero PTO left), or without pay. And negative virus retest before returning to work.
But at least the Kingdom of Wonder is issuing clear guidance now.
I have several people (coworkers and customers) trying to come over and visit our site regardless of the quarantine because they don’t take it or the law seriously.

Up date =As of August 7 2020 the US now has lowered the Travel Advisory for Cambodia from Level 4 to Level 3:
The Level 4 advisory instructs U.S. citizens not to travel abroad and requires that Americans who are overseas return to the U.S. or shelter in place. Per the government's updated statement: “The Department of State advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19.
Level 3, orange, asks citizens to reconsider traveling unless it is essential. Before August 7 2020, the U.S. Department of State issued Level 4 travel advisories for the globe due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Geographic Risk Assessment for COVID-19 Transmission = for Cambodia COVID-19 Risk is Low.
Cambodia Travel Advisory: Reconsider travel to Cambodia due to COVID-19.
