Two Badass Chinese Crims Arrested for Koh Pich Kidnapping

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On August 4, 2020, at 9:30 pm, two Chinese men, Fang ShiQi, 43 years old, and Zhang Song, 44 years old, and two unknown suspects, kidnapped a Chinese man at the Chinese market near Koh Pich, Sangkat Tonle Basac, Khan Chamkarmorn, Phnom Penh. The victim was identified as TANG DEWEN, a 20 year old man.

Before the incident, the victim went to have some food at a restaurant, when suddenly, 4 Chinese men caught him, locked him up and held him for ransom. They called the victim's brother and asked for 50,000 USD for his release. The victim's brother sent them 14,000 yuans (about US$2,000), and then, he reported the affair to the Phnom Penh anti-drug department, asking for help.

On August 05, shortly after midnight, the anti-drug department together with Khan Chamkarmorn police went to the scene where the victim was held, and they arrested two suspects and released the victim. Other suspects ran away and managed to escape the police.
The suspects were sent to Khan Chamkarmorn police station for case preparation.
