Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On July 29, 2020, at 8:30 pm, a 16-year-old boy, Leh Yangnhoth, was arrested for using a cleaver to attack another boy in Sangkat Pleung Ches Rotes, Khan Kambol, Phnom Penh. The victim, Hoy Vanhan, 18 years old, was seriously injured in the attack.

The police said before the incident, the victim was sitting in front of his rented room when the suspect's niece came to talk with him and then she went to her room. The suspect suddenly became very angry and took a cleaver to attack the victim. The victim ran out to the road and asked for help. Local people called the police and the victim was sent to the hospital.

The 16-year-old slasher was arrested and taken into custody. It seems that he was jealous of the victim for talking to his niece.
