Chinese Kidnap Victim Grabbed a Gun and Escaped

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On August 3, 2020, at at 8:30 pm, a Chinese man who was detained by police in the street, on street 200/63 in the Daun Penh district of Phnom Penh, told the officers that he had escaped from kidnappers with a gun.

The Chinese man was sent to the police station for questioning, where he told the police that he was kidnapped by a group of 10 Chinese people. The suspects were extorting him for 250,000 USD at a hotel in Sangkat Tuek Thlar, Khan Sen Sok. He said that he snatched a gun from them and escaped.
After getting the information, the police force went to the hotel at 11 pm, but the suspects had already check out of the hotel since 8 pm. The police checked the security camera, and found that the suspects left a car, (plate no. PP2BB-1350), at the hotel.

The Chinese victim was injured after getting tortured. The victim with the evidence was returned to Khan Sen Sok police station for the investigation.
