Nice. Now hopefully they stay in the jail for the whole time and don't get any "special/comfy" jail.

Money has the power to move mountains. Unlikely he will suffer the indignity of being deprived access to his Rolls Royce.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:58 am Nice. Now hopefully they stay in the jail for the whole time and don't get any "special/comfy" jail.

Maybe it's pay back time ?

(I've posted this link before, but it's well worth reading the whole thread on Sok Bun's attack on woman TV host "Sasa", because who knows, there may be some connection with this 'incident' and his present pickle.
Sasa's family are well connected, and HE himself has previously condemned the behavior of the former oknha. So, it's worth a read or reread IMO.)

The umbrella of immunity was withdrawn and he was fair game. Another head on a spike for the ACU to showcase their "we go for everyone, no matter who they are."

UPDATE
May 19, 2021
Tycoon Sok Bun land grab trial reaches Appeal Court
The Appeal Court yesterday heard the case of Tycoon Sok Bun and five former Koh Rong commune officials who were convicted to between five and seven years in prison each over a land grab bid between 2016 and 2019.
Presiding Judge Pov Phousun identified the six men as Bun, 53, President of the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agent Association; Ung Nith, 55, former Koh Rong city council chief; Seng Hour Leang, 50, former Koh Rong commune chief; Hem Sales, 51, former commune council member; Ke Sorm, 53, former second deputy commune chief; and Keo Pov, 63, former chief of the commune’s Prek Svay village.
Phousun said that in 2016, the accused Nith, Hour Leang, Sales, Sorm and Pov conspired with Bun to forge land documents and sell 525 hectares of state national park in Koh Rong commune to Bun.
He said that in March 2019, 42 families living in Prek Svay village submitted a letter asking for intervention from the Preah Sihanouk provincial governor after Bun and Land Management Ministry officials had come to measure their land, raising suspicions.
In April 2019, he added, they filed a complaint to Koh Rong commune hall after Bun attempted to grab their land by presenting documents to the local authorities.
Phousun said that according to the complaint, the families have lived and planted crops on the land since the 1960s and have ownership documents recognised by the village and commune authorities.
He said the accused were arrested on June 22, 2019, by the Anti-Corruption Unit in Preah Sihanouk province.
“They were arrested after they had forged land documents and grabbed more than 500 hectares of state land and villagers’ properties,” he said.
He added that for this case, on July 29, 2020, the Phnom Penh Municipal Court convicted Bun, Hour Leang, Sales and Pov to seven years in prison each, while Sorm was convicted to six years and Nith to five. The court also ordered them to pay about $2,500 each as a fine.
He said they all appealed the ruling to the Appeal Court and asked for their sentences to be reduced.

That is good news. Prek Svay is probably the last remaining authentic (fishing) village in the islands. M'Pai Bay lost 'fishing-village' status years ago after being overrun by tourists and expats, lol. Prek Svay is a pretty place, at least I think so. They hadn't torn down the coconuts as of 2017, anyway. Few foreign tourists hike over from the nearby resorts. But it was worth it, nobody there but locals. A nice place to have an iced coffee under the coconut trees.
