I often wonder what the rate of infections are in places where people are living in very close physical contact.. submarines , aircraft carriers, and battleships.
Official numbers would be Nil. Dont want to tell our enemy's how sick our fighting men are.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Official numbers are not nil. A whole aircraft carrier was taken out of action because of that.Duncan wrote:Official numbers would be Nil. Dont want to tell our enemy's how sick our fighting men.
Unlike civilians, military service personnel have no rights or freedoms. They can be tested daily if deemed necessary. Ordered to wear masks and social distance, etc.
No suggestions. No protestors. Disobeying orders gets a trip to the brig.

This virus is novel ... we have almost no other infection that follows its behavior. It is humbling. I think we need to be as a species be very humbled. We are brought to our knees by some strands of Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) ... wow ... just pause to thing about this :
Here are some of the things we don't know yet:
How many people have been infected.
The amount of virus it takes to make you sick.
Why some people get so much sicker than others.
The role of children in spreading the virus.
When or where the new coronavirus started spreading.
How long you’ll be immune after infection.

the only thing that matters is the death rate and the age of those who succumb
if you're just ill, then deal with it
if you're just ill, then deal with it

Wrong,,, Your opposition, whether it be your military or financial opposition , dont want you dead. They want you sick as that is where you would have to place all you resources , money and manpower. Dead men dont take any looking after.

Research shows long-term health issues can stem from virus
Boris Johnson’s physician calls it ‘this generation’s polio’
More than one million people around the world have been deemed recovered from the coronavirus, but beating the initial sickness may be just the first of many battles for those who have survived.
Some recovered patients report breathlessness, fatigue and body pain months after first becoming infected. Small-scale studies conducted in Hong Kong and Wuhan, China show that survivors grapple with poorer functioning in their lungs, heart and liver. And that may be the tip of the iceberg.
The coronavirus is now known to attack many parts of the body beyond the respiratory system, causing damage from the eyeballs to the toes, the gut to the kidneys. Patients’ immune systems can go into overdrive to fight off the infection, compounding the damage done.

The much more novelty is the levels of hypocrisy of governments who shut down livelihoods of infinite families, especially in third world countries, supposedly caring for their safety, throwing them into years of suffering from incurred debts, diseases of malnutrition, skyrocketing crime and no future.
