Woman sought for propositioning clients on social media

Police are looking for a woman who is accused of prostituting herself on social media by posting nude pictures and video clips which undermines Khmer culture and traditions.

Lieutenant General Sar Thet, chief of Phnom Penh Municipal Police, identified the woman as Saran Narita. To date they have been unable to locate her.

He said Narita had recently posted semi-nude photos and a video clip with her disrobed on Facebook.

Her post went viral and she received a lot of criticism saying she had disgraced Khmer tradition and tarnished the honour of Cambodian women.

“The anti-cybercrime police are currently inquiring as to her whereabouts as she has violated the law,” Lt Gen Thet said.

Major Long Sopheng, deputy chief of anti-cybercrimes police, said the suspect is allegedly accused with “pornography and indecent exposure” under Articles 38 and 39 of the Law on Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation and under Article 249 of the Criminal Code.
If convicted, she faces 30 days to one year in prison.

Phnom Penh police say that Facebook account name Saran Narita has posted sexy videos affecting the honor and dignity of Khmer women.

God, that nose really ruins her face. I can't believe doctors wouldn't talk her out of that. Hopefully it's just accentuated by makeup and some filter.

Well if there was any pornography on any of the young ladie's three Facebook pages I couldn't find it. And I spent a while looking. In the interests of background news research of course. A fair amount of cleavage and a lot of beauty / skin whitening products but no porn. I think this whole thing is her idea of guerrilla marketing.

One could call that soft porn. Especially in a country like this.

Interestingly, they can have affairs even read of past articles many police officers have mistresses......

Like with everything in cambodia everyone know what is going on. Just cant do it to openly/public causing public outrage, then the authorities cant look the other way anymore.
