Couple Arrested Trapping Wildlife in Forest Community
Cambodia News (Oddar Meanchey): On July 17, 2020, the Rukavon forestry community in Oddar Meanchey on patrol arrested a couple for trapping wildlife. The suspects were sent to the specialist officer to follow the legal procedure.
A monk named Bun Salout, director of Rukavon Community said the military officer on patrol arrested a man, Ouch Rin, 31 years old and his wife, Sok Phal, 38 years old, who live in Anlong Veng district, Oddar Meanchey.
The couple are habitual offenders for illegally hunting wildlife in that community, the officers have found many dead animals killed by the suspects. The forest patrol confiscated their illegal trapping devices, and the two will be charged with poaching wildlife in the Rukavon forestry community.

Humans are still hunters and gatherers, unless you give them land.. then hopefully they become farmers.
Now, how will we stop those hunters and gatherers from taking fish from the oceans . Fish they do not own , fish they did not grow.

^ Yes, looking at the photo of the couple, I feel sorry for them. They look like they trap to eat. Yet the animals look like they were trapped and left to rot, which is pretty disgusting.

They don't trap to eat/personal sustenance. They lay probably dozens if not hundreds of snares and by the time they get to snare one the animal can sometimes be half-rotten. It's not like they have GPS sensors which alerts them when a snare is triggered. I get what you mean though, they're not exactly at the top of the trapping hierarchy.
