Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On July 8, 2020, a woman posted on social media asking for justice. She said she was getting attacked and threatened by a man who is the owner of a noodle shop.

The victim said that on the night of the 8 July, her friend told her to go to eat something with the customer so that she could get a 20 USD tip. After that, two customers wanted to take her home. On the way, one of them asked her to have sex with him, and he would give her 100 USD, but she rejected that. So then, they argued, and he attacked her. She ended up by opening the car window and screaming for help. The suspect stopped the car and ran away. After the incident, she posted a video on social media asked for help from the police.

On July 9, 2020, she filed the complaint at Phnom Penh Royal Gendarmerie. On July 11, 2020, a man named Kao Naro, a manager of Angchum noodle shop, was arrested as a suspect. He was sent to the court today, on July 13, to follow the legal action.
