Druggie with Bad Hairdo Burns Down House and Attacks Police

Cambodia News (Kandal): On July 12, 2020, at 00:30 am, a 27-year-old man, Thorn Sombath, was arrested for burning down his mother's house and attacking a police officer in Sangkat Takdol, Takmao city, Kandal. The victims were identified as Prum Sothy, a 48-year-old woman, a seller (the suspect's mother), and Phal Liko, a 27-year-old, a police officer.

The suspect was a drug addict, and his mother locked him in a room, making him angry. So then, he damaged a motorbike in the house and tried to set the place on fire.

The police went to the scene to intervene and put out the fire, when suddenly, the suspect used a belt to attack a police officer, injuring him seriously so he was sent to the hospital for treatment.

After the incident, the police arrested the suspect and sent him to the Takmao police station for case preparation following the legal procedure. No explanation is given for the suspect's hair-cut.
