Rubber Farmer Shot in Broad Daylight

Cambodia News, Prey Veng: On National Road No. 8 in Tbong Pagoda village, Prey Veng province, there was a murder and a robbery when a worker at a rubber plantation was shot on the road while returning home from his work on his motorbike at 13:37 pm on July 9, 2020.

The victim, Buth Vanna, 28, was a rubber farmer at Wat Village, Tras Commune, Romahak District, Svay Rieng Province.

The victim was last seen leaving work on his motorcycle, intending to ride home, but on the way home, the suspect fired a shotgun at the victim, wounding him severely.
The wounded man was sent to the Kamchay Mear District Referral Hospital by the authorities and the people, but unfortunately by the time that the doctor arrived, the victim was pronounced dead.

While on the scene of the shooting, the police found one of the bullets. Authorities are now conducting a search to arrest the suspect or suspects and bring them to justice.
