Two Cambodians Swept Away at Waterfall Picnic
Pursat: On July 10, 2020 at 2:35 pm, two national tourists from Banteay Meanchey province were swept away at the Thmor Dam waterfall located in Thmor village, Veal Veng district, Pursat province. The two were enjoying a day out at the river with friends.
One of the victims, Bun Tith, a 34-year-old man, managed to survive, but suffered injuries to his head and a broken leg. He was sent to hospital in Pursat for treatment.
The other victim, a 28-year-old woman, No Raneath, went missing until her body was found the next day, on 11 July, following an intense search by her friends, local people, and police.
