Cambodia News, Kandal province: On July 3, 2020 at 2:00 pm, Chhuon Thorn, a 60-year-old male resident of the commune walked down to the river behind his house where he saw the body of an unidentified man floating in the water.
The deceased is about 35 to 40 years old, short hair, thin hair, 1.60 meters high. The macabre discovery occurred on the banks of the Prek Yeak river in Krom Village, Koh Chomam Commune, Khsach Kandal District, Kandal Province.

The local fisherman, Chhun Thorn, reported his find to Koh Rim police station, and then a specialist examined the body together with the commune chief. The victim was slightly swollen indicating that he had been in the water for some time, and there were no marks on the body, so they concluded that the man died from drowning. However, they can not say if it was a suicide or an accidental death.
Police are looking for relatives to identify the deceased.
