Cambodia News, Siem Reap: On June 28, 2020, at about 4:00 am, Sam Sia, a 51-year-old male resident of the village drank a deadly pesticide during a family dispute in Ampil Peam commune, Puok district, Siem Reap province.

According to his wife, Bunthoeut, 48, her husband regularly drinks, gets drunk, and fights with his wife and children. He didn't listen and he didn't talk about his problems, but once he tried to hang himself and was saved by a relative.
Then, on the morning of June 28, 2020, when his wife and children got up and went downstairs, they saw that the husband had shut the door for a little while, but when they approached they saw that he was unconscious in the bathroom, with a lot of vomiting, and a bottle of pesticide (rice spray) was empty nearby.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where the medical team tried to save the man, but he died despite their efforts.

After receiving the report, the police force, in collaboration with the district paramedics, examined the body and determined that there was no visible sign of a crime. The doctors confirmed that the deceased died of self-inflicted poisoning.

After the examination, authorities handed over the victim's remains to the family for a traditional funeral. RIP

What a painful, slow and scary way to go. RIP.

Toxicity might be similar to E605 (Parathion) pesticide. Horrible way to end one's life. Surviving the ordeal would be just as horrible.
