B-47 Stratojet (1947-1955). It is often overlooked because overshadowed by its replacement, the B-52. However, it had been the backbone of the Strategic Air Command for several years and introduced the technology and many design features that have made the well-known B-52 a legend.

I was at my grandads house years ago and he stopped talking and looked up at a plane way up high.
“That’s a B52”
“Eh. It’s about 35,000 feet up. How can you tell?”
“I can hear the engines”
Turned out it was a B52 from a German base after an air show.
I couldn’t hear anything.

A replica Vickers Type 464 bouncing bomb. This was a bomb used by Royal Air Force No. 617 Squadron, in Lancasters, for their mission to destroy the dams in the Ruhr and Eder valleys during Operation Chastise (16–17 May 43) in WW2. This would earn the squadron the nickname Dam Busters.
