New Vattanac brewery to be built in Phnom Penh
17/06/2020
Cambodian Vattanac Brewery Co Ltd’s has announced its plans launch a new $87 million brewery in Phnom Penh. Vattanac Brewery is a subsidiary of Vattanac Group and they produce well-known brands such as Tiger, Heineken and Black Panther.

The brewery received approval from the Cambodian government in a move “aimed at increasing local production and reducing imports” reports the Phnom Penh Post. In addition, the brewery will create 899 jobs, said the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

The Cambodian brewery is located in Prek Eng commune’s Roboh Angkanh village in Chbar Ampov district, east of the Bassac River in the capital.

The Cambodian Royal Academy of Cambodia economics researcher Hong Vanak said: “In line with the continued growth of investment in brewing, Cambodia also needs to strengthen its human resources and production quality, especially for the export market.”

I believe wholeheartedly that the countries that placed the landmines should be 100% responsible for removing them.
Still here, in country...

So, from 16th June it was $87 million (B2B) and by 26th June it became $140 million (Khmer Times)

Are they are making up the numbers as they go along.
