I moved to Brixton when I was 17, just after I finished high school. It was a bit rough around there, the nearby shopping center was still derelict from the
riots a year or two before. I liked it a lot. Compared to Dublin it was a walk in the park. It was a sketchy area but I never had any problems. Nevertheless I moved to North London not long after and never looked back.

I remember going to see Cypress Hill at Brixton Academy when I was about 14. The aftermath didn't look all that dissimilar from the vid in the original post.
