Hunter Evacuated After Losing Two Legs in Mine Explosion
Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On June 23, 2020, at 3 pm, a 64-year-old man, Ses Vibol, was seriously injured in a mine explosion at Cambodia Thai border gate no. 48 in Tumnup Dach village, Ouchroa district, Banteay Meanchey.
The inspector reported that the victim went hunting animals, and then at the Cambodia Thai border no.48, the victim stepped on a AK58 mine causing the explosion. The victim was seriously injured; both of his legs were cut off.
The border police and Oubey Chon police helped to take the victim to the provincial hospital in Poipet city.

What's the provenance of an AK58 mine? I could only find references to sidearms using Google.

That article says Russian made not Chinese. That and given it’s location makes it probably Khmer Rouge.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. The USSR never had any relationship with the Khmer Rouge. Vietnam did have a close alliance with the Soviets, and while the KR used mines provided by the PAVN early on and a lot of captured arms they nearly exclusively used Chincom materiel.
