Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On June 13, 2020, at 09:30 am, a 62 British man, DAVID BRIAN MCGEORGE, was found dead in room no. 617 at Lux Riverside Hotel & Apartment, in Sangkat Psar Kandal, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh (Riverside).

According to a man named Nem Daravuth, 34 years old and hotel worker, on June 12, 2020, at 12:25 pm, the victim booked a car to go to Siem Reap with him. On June 13, at 09:30 am, the car came to pick up David McGeorge. He went to knock on the victim's door, but there was no reply. He decided to unlock the room to check on him and found the victim dead on the floor.

After receiving the information, the local police reported to the persecutor, the police of the Science Technology department, the criminal police of investigation and procedure, and they did an autopsy. The police concluded that the victim died of a heart attack. The victim's belongings, such as a phone, a watch, $85USD, and 1000 riel, four cards, two driving licenses, 1 iPad, one power bank, a backpack, were sent to the immigration department. The passport was given to the police of the Analytical Office of the ministry of interior. The body was taken to be kept the mortuary at Teuk Thlar pagoda.
