Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates December 2021)
Re: Information on Coronavirus in Cambodia from 8 March 2020 (Latest Updates)
Business Visa. It starts with the letters EI. It's good for 3 months so I have a window to make a dash for it. The London embassy are not issuing tourist visas.

Can I ask how you got the Business visa. I'm in the US and Cambodia Embassy official here told me I could get a business visa as long as I had an official letter of invite from a Cambodia company with a tax id. It has to have the duration of stay, your address in Cambodia and what type of job or visit. Are there services that can provide official letters?

Thank You will contact them tomorrow. Also should I have to worry about the company cover letter having to have a Cambodian tax id?

Thirty people screened for COVID-19 after contact with latest patient
Contact tracing efforts from the 30-year-old COVID-19 patient diagnosed on Saturday have led to the identification of 30 people, the Ministry of Health said yesterday.
“We have tracked more than 30 people so far, including foreigners who had direct and indirect contact with the patient,” said Ly Sovann, director of the Communicable Disease Control Department, yesterday, he added officials have already collected samples from the contacts, all of which have been sent to the capital’s Pasteur Institute for testing.
“We can say there is a low risk of infection for those 30 people because they haven’t shown any of the coronavirus symptoms. However, we will still follow the protocols to ensure that a virus spread is prevented,” said Mr Sovann, noting the 30 tracked contacts asked for their 14-day quarantine be served at their homes.
The Health Ministry on Sunday said the new patient is a resident of Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district who returned from France via South Korea on May 24. After his 14-day self-quarantine and the second round of COVID-19 screening, the patient tested positive for the virus, becoming the Kingdom’s 126th patient.
His travel history revealed he also travelled to Britain and Germany before departing from France. He is now being treated at the capital’s Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.

I have a letter of current employment, plus registration at my Sangkat from 2018, plus a medical insurance policy issued by a AG Cambodia in Phnom Penh, plus lots of old visas and stamps in my passport, plus bank accounts if he wanted to see them. It is very clear that I have a strong connection with the country from the papers.

what is an "official" letter of invite? a letter on school letterhead ? letter w/ school logo? i am in communication by email back/forth ( with embassy).. He said i can email him later the accommodation. I told him how would i know where i am going to live yet? i am not even there- but framed the question better. You can just pick a guesthouse or pay for 1 nite in a guesthouse so u have a receipt if they ask.
i am almost positive the Embassy in DC will not reach out to my friend at the school. I can let you guys know as i am sending my business visa package out on Monday or Tuesday. I also asked about duration of stay and he said just put the amount of time stated in the school contract ( which i made up)
He never mentioned Tax id
Manhattan keeps on making it, Brooklyn keeps on taking it

OP will need to book at least 3 weeks. Every tourist will lose at least 1-2 days of their hotel reservation due to virus retesting at the airport and waiting for results. In a no WiFi zone. And if 1 person on the flight tests positive, everyone goes into government quarantine and the tourist loses another 14 days of hotel reservation on top of that. If not, 14 more days of hotel confinement and retest. After 16 days or so, the tourist can emerge to do touristy things.atst wrote:Sorry I read it as he was only traveling for few weeks not getting back to wife, (So every tourist will now have to book a hotel ) apologize if I'm wrong.
Oh, and the government mandates a 3,000 dollar deposit on arrival to cover virus related costs.
Pity the factory owner who is coming to meet with officials about his idling factory and out of work staff.
He’ll be late for the meeting.
