Search on for Fake Plates: Rolls-Royce and Mercedes "Police 2-7715"
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: Authorities are searching for the owners of Rolls-Royce and Mercedes "Police 2-7715" for enforcement measures. The search operation began on 2 June 2020, after a social media user posted photos of the same police license plate on the two cars. Both are believed to be fake. National police say that they do not currently own any Rolls Royce vehicles.
Chhay Kim Khorn, deputy commissioner and spokesman for the National Police, confirmed that the police license plates shown on social media are fakes and the vehicles are being sought by police to take legal action. According to Kim Khun, anyone found using fake police license plates will face jail time.

Yeah right, I'm sure someone in a Rolls will be forced to go to jail... I see RCAF/Police plates every few minutes. Am I to think they aren't all legally owned by the state?!

The state do have a rather nice collection of vehicles including a very agreeable Mercedes Maybach.

Jut a face saving operation, how can someone in the police have a $500,000+ car, quite embarrassing for the public to see this but of course whoever does have the car is clearly rich enough that they won't be in any real trouble
