Re: Memoirs of a Nobody in Cambodia.
I did tons of bad shit, same as Kung fu and more.....
"But I've done a bit of smugglin'
I've run my share of grass
Made enough money to buy Miami
But I pissed it away so fast
Never meant to last"
Only difference is I am the same guy, but I choose to no longer do the same things i did when i was younger..
Everything i was, lead me to who i am.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Nice attempt to portray me as shaming the poor inflicted wracked-with-guilt soul, but hang on there a minute wounded soldier.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 3:07 pmTrust me, Foreigner, you can't shame me anywhere near the amount I've shamed myself, or make me feel any guiltier than therapy, rehab and self reflection has. That must be reassuring.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 2:26 pm My parents still sends me traveler’s checks. You were so riddled with guilt about your travellers cheques scams that you had to have therapy, yet you're posting stories about it ? I'm calling bullshit.
You write, "Before anyone goes searching for them elsewhere to scream "plagiarism", save yourself the effort. I am the author and owner of the work." (as if readers are about to be gifted the modern day equivalent of the unpublished works of one of the great poets) but then on the other hand you say, "I’m not this guy. This guy doesn’t exist any more."
You suggest you're shamed of your drug pushing past, but implicitly boast about what a great guy everyone on the bus thought you were when you asked them for money to pay for your visa while you were carrying drugs up your ass.
You describe the people who helped you out of a difficult situation disrespectfully as, "a rag tag bunch of hippes".
That's not someone whose reflected on life and seen the errors of his ways, that's someone who seeks to justify himself whilst portraying others in a bad light and seeking pity from others.
Btw, "“Hi, sorry to trouble you. I’ve had a visa overstay problem in Thailand and don’t have any money to get to Phnom Penh where I’ll have a Western Union transfer waiting for me. I was hoping someone would be kind enough to lend me a few dollars for the bus ticket and a room tonight. Of course I’ll return the money with interest tomorrow.” doesn't make you sound like a smooth operator, it makes you sound like an alcoholic whose too pissed to stand up.
You remind me a bit of Walter from Crocodile Dundee actually.
Oh and by the way, I've got more stories than you could shake a stick at. They're a lot more exciting than being a washed up bum pushing dope to teenagers, and landing awkwardly on my nads after tripping over when getting onto a boat.

'Anthony's Weiner' ladies and gentlemen.......give him a nice welcome back.
Apparently he thought his caustic bullshit was sorely missed. I'd wager that he's wrong.

You're really having to go a long way to get some attention now, aren't you? You're looking a little foolish. Therapy and rehab were for years of drug addiction, who suggested it was for traveler cheque scam - where did you get that idea? And I 'm a wannabe (bad) writer, I write about everything! Call BS on it, again I could care less.
Nobody thought I was a great guy on the bus - that was never written or implied. They gave me money because they were decent people, I assume. I called them rag tag because hippies sometimes look like that - it's called description.
And this was written in the context and mind frame of the person I was back then, something you're having a great deal of difficulty with obviously - I'm sorry you're not able to grasp or understand this.
Anyway, as you were. You're having a blast, I can tell.

Exactly. The therapy was to cure you of your drug addiction, it wasn't to cure you of your guilt.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 3:53 pmYou're really having to go a long way to get some attention, aren't you? No, you're either pointing out you've difficulty with comprehension, or you're a troll. Either way, go fuck your self.Foreigner wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 3:57 pmExactly. Agreed. Trolling for the sake of trolling.
24 hours holiday for the troll. Adios, or Adeus as they say in Portugal.
Not sure whether it's AW or not.

Re: Memoirs of a Nobody in Cambodia.
Yikes! I posted the thing about my parents still giving me traveler’s checks as a way of referencing how set in the their ways they still are. No one uses traveler’s checks anymore, and even the issuing bank has problems recognizing them when I go to cash them.
