This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. so she creates this 'problem'over the definition of expat vs. immigrant, its like seinfeld, her show is about nothing

I feel sorry for her tbh. As she says herself,

"My Hong Kong baby group was held at the Matilda Hospital, a building built in 1907 by a banker from Hampshire. Here western mums chatted school back-handers and spa membership over MingCha while their Filipino ‘Ah Mahs’ waited outside to be handed crying babies. To go through all that for years and years, and to then get back to the UK and THEN realise she'd been prejudiced by having been given this expat label. That must really suck.

Living ON & OFF from Asia (Dubai, Hong Kong), Italy & Australia... You’ve searched for the correct definition of “immigrant” & even defined “expat”..... But you never give yourself a chance to look and understand the meaning of “permanent/permanently”... 😵😵😵

An "Expat" is what you call yourself when you are having a better life living in a foreign country.

An "Immigrant" is a foreigner having a better life living in your country.
