so the whole thing about 14 day incubation period goes right out the window>>>>
A passenger of the Ruby Princess who tested positive to coronavirus is suspected to have carried the “dormant” virus for almost 12 weeks before falling ill.

The woman was diagnosed in Cairns on Monday, taking the total number of Queensland cases to 1057, with only 12 remaining active.

Authorities suspect she is the latest coronavirus case to have carried the inactive virus and become sick weeks after exposure.

Last week another woman in Queensland was diagnosed two months after returning from India.

What's their percentage based on their total population? A country with 40 people can only have 40 deaths. Does that mean they have the best plan ever because only 40 people died?
Do you think the parents of baby boomers whined so much when the boomers started changing society? And yet the whiney ones like to call young people "snowflakes." Hmm...

their percentage is roughly the same as UK, which has had complete stasi-style lockdown - hence, lockdown does not make a jack shit of a difference!

It was never Sweden's intention to depend on herd immunity, as I heard in numerous interviews with Swedish, British, American and German medical experts. In fact, it was nearly unanimous from the beginning that, without knowledge of and experience with the SARS-Cov2 virus, striving for herd immunity was a non-starter. Sweden's intent was to not stress the economy and people with a lockdown approach.

from the article:

“Sweden’s government insists that it does not have a herd immunity strategy, but Swedish virologist Lena Einhorn said that “they have denied it, but under their breaths they have acknowledged” the strategy, according to France24.”

Dear USA and most of Europe (mainly directed to)
A poorly planned, badly executed, late, ad-hoc lockdown has obviously not worked so well.
But where it has been done effectively, as demonstrated in a number of countries, the death rate has been negligible.
AND the damage to the economy has also be minimised.

Don't blame failed lockdowns (or even China) - blame your own shitty craven corrupt leadership, your broken social compact, your replacement of human values with economic indicators, and your own self-disempowered citizenry for all your unnecessary deaths and the worst effects on your economy.

If this experience has not rocked your faith in your leaderships then God help us all. What could be a more stark example of sheer ineptitude and a totally broken system?
:stir:
(imo only, after waking up on the wrong side the bed - obviously  )
