Cambodia weather questions
Hi everyone!
There is a possibility for me to move to Cambodia because of work, I have Multiple sclerosis and heat is bad for my condition, I know that Cambodia is hot all year around but I would like to know from people leaving there, if is really hot all year and how is life in general, people are inside the buildings with AC during the day and go out at evenings ?
Do you think is possible to manage the heat, using AC, pool etc all the time?

Re: Cambodia weather questions
Its really hot here. Last week was around 37 degrees every day. Air con is effective in modern buildings but in older ones not so much. Evenings are also pretty warm. If heat affects your health you should not come here.

Re: Cambodia weather questions
It is hot all year round. There are sometimes some brief respites during December or January, but otherwise no. It's either hot and dry or hot and wet/ steaming. It's possible to work and live and commute with A/C but for myself I can't imagine how restrictive that would be. It's often impossible to get anything done without getting out places and sweating your bollocks off. It's worth mentioning that I cycle about 70 km every week, whatever the weather.

Cambodia have 2 seasons. Hot and f..ing hot, but is manageable once you get used to it.

For a healthy person. Even fairly healthy folks like me struggle with it, and I have 25 years of it under my belt (altho this is my FIRST May and June ever in SE asia, hoooray!!!!!!!, never again, and the Chicoms had better open up PVD to Delta in July so I can take advantage of my cancelled ticket and avoid the rain)Chuck Borris wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 7:52 pm Cambodia have 2 seasons. Re: Cambodia weather questions
Depending on how far progressed your MS is, you also need to appreciate that little or no physical provision is made for disabilities here in terms of accessibility. Unless you can get your employer to pay for it, the cost of health insurance for someone with such a pre-existing condition might also be a problem (and please don't even think of coming without insurance).
