Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On May 21, 2020, the criminal police arrested three people for scamming 1.5 million USD in a fake land sale of nearly 200 hectares, in Stok Slart village, Oudong District, Kampong Speu. The suspects were identified as Ros Sokhun, a 40-year-old man, Phat Sokhan, a 40-year-old woman, and Oung Bunthorn, a 54-year-old man.

According to the complaint from Yon Senghan, on September 05, 2019, the victim made the contract to buy 191 hectares of land from Ros Sokhun, and Oung Bunthorn, in Stok Slart village. The agreement was made and the victim kept paying money to the suspects totaling 1,500,000 USD.
Based on the contract, the victim was able to clean up the land for developing, but before cleaning up the property, the victim also tried to contact the three suspects to ask them to report the information to the district administration, but the suspects had disappeared.
When the victim asked the lawyer to make a request to Oudong administration, she realized that she had been scammed, so she went to the police to file a complaint.

The suspects were detained at the Kampong Speu Criminal Department for case preparation .
