Extension of Stay (Visa) Different Prefix

Post by lostjeremy »

Every year I get my EOS renewed the same way at the same time. I just got my latest, so in this passport I now have eight 1 year visas. All are marked with EB, even my new one says EB but above the EB mark where it shows the actual visa number is my question.

All previous ones show EI followed by an 8 digit numbe. My new one shows EEX followed by a 10 digit number.

Anyone know if there is any significance to this, or is it just part of their new updated system?

No significance, it is just the new Visa/EOS numbering format system, Eex indicates an EOS of the E-type Visa.
