Indonesia's tropical holiday island of Bali could reopen to tourists in October, thanks to its success in controlling the coronavirus outbreak, the government says.
As of Friday, Bali had reported 343 coronavirus cases and four deaths, a much lower fatality rate compared with 16,496 cases and 1076 deaths in the whole archipelago
Bali's economy depends largely on visitors.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

They were adamant that they were going to open in September last year though until it got called off a couple of days beforehand.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 2:40 pm Long time shut down...

Interesting, but will watch this space.
Also, can you imagine the whole of barang SEA in Bali ??????
Presumably it is JUST bali they're talking about by the way, and not the Gilis and Lombok ?
Maybe it would be an option for Aussies, but things would be pretty desperate to travel from Europe to go to Bali only.
Also, iirc no extension on 30 days visa for Indonesia. Maybe Singapore would be open for a turnaround ?
I'd find any chance of getting into Thailand much more attractive personally.
