This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. The Comedy Club Cambodia and Comedy Bookers Cambodia have another couple of stunning shows lined up for you this November—both at Equinox in Phnom Penh on Friday 14th at 8.30pm, and at The Warehouse in Siem Reap on Sunday 16th at 8pm—with a sizzling selection of stand ups topped off by brilliant headline act, English comedian Nik Coppin.

Tickets for both gigs are priced at just US$4 dollars. Now everyone can have a cheap laugh!
The show is brought to you by Bruntys cider – which will available at the discounted price of $2 per bottle on the night – with co-sponsors Infinity Solutions, Monument Hotel of Phnom Penh, Sokhalay Hotel of Siem Reap, Giant Ibis bus company, The Flicks Community Movie Houses and Buffalo Sister restaurant.

Doors open at 7:30pm with showtime set for 8:30pm.
Phnom Penh funnymen Sam Thomas, Eli Meixler and Scotty Muldoon will each provide supporting sets with Steven Halcrow as MC.

Nik’s bits

Nik Coppin is a mixed race London-based international stand-up comedian.
He has a confident, affable and energetic approach to comedy which is quick to build audience rapport.
Nik’s shows and material range from topics as diverse as race-related issues, animals, superheroes, observations on everyday life and storytelling.
He is one of the few comedians to enjoy success on both the UK comedy circuit and at international festivals. He has performed at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringes, New Zealand and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, all over Australia, and at the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival in Los Angeles.
Nik is currently developing his critically-acclaimed show Mixed Racist. He often talks about his heritage on stage – his mother is English and his father is from Barbados – but this show marks a slightly new direction for the affable comedian; more relevant, controversial, and thought-provoking, while never straying too far from his friendly comedic roots.

Coppin reviews

“Nik Coppin’s carefree comedy and happy-go-lucky nature are irresistible” The Pun, Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2012

“Coppin is clever and manages to captivate the audience at every turn” Heckler.com.au

“He talks at 100mph and generates an irresistible atmosphere of good old-fashioned fun” Chortle.co.uk

Is it me or has anyone else noticed how popular observational comedy is?
