'Vietnamese Granny' Arrested for Drugs on the Railway Line

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On May 11, 2020, at 11 am, the police arrested a 49-year-old woman, Ny Sory, called Yeay Youn, for drug trafficking at the railway, in Sangkat Sras Chok, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh. This area along the railway line is notorious for smalltime drug trafficking.

Mr. Sor Thet, deputy director of Phnom Penh police station, led the force to investigate and arrested the suspect. The police confiscated a big packet of the drug, some drug equipment, and 40,000 riel in cash money. (Equivalent of US$10).

The police are searching for the suspect's suppliers, and the drug trafficking case against the woman is being prepared.
