Cambodia News (Siem Reap): A 32-year-old man, Vong Pos, overcome with jealousy, attempted to kill his 25-year-old wife by stabbing her with a knife, before killing himself in Kok Run village, Pok district, Siem Reap.

On May 5, 2020, the man took a knife to stab his wife in the stomach, and then, he stabbed himself and jumped into the pond. The local people rescued him from the pond and sent him to the hospital, but unfortunately, he died on the way. His wife was seriously injured and she is still in the hospital being treated for the stab wound.

The couple had a history of arguing with each other because the man was jealous of his wife. Last month, they so much that the man didn't eat at home with his wife, but went to have food at the pagoda, and he stopped talking to his wife. On May 5, his wife was washing clothes near the pond when her husband came home and started arguing with his wife again, until he took a knife and attacked her.

The local people and the specialist police went to the scene to examine the body. After the examination, the body was returned to the family for funeral preparation.
