Sounds like a paper tiger. Or in that dudes case, paper gunman who petered out.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 8:37 amNothing seems to suggest that. Not even a report of a 'ricochet.'

As far as im aware its a guy that owns it.
No talk round here of him actually hitting anyone.
Re: MARK ASPINALL Arrested after Pulling Out Gun over Drink Bill in Phnom Penh
in the initial report it says he hit the owner, didn't say male or female iirc

Hope he gets locked up for a good few years, his behaviour was atrocious & unforgiveable.
I hope his crimes against fashion are addressed at a separate hearing.

Indeed, your earlier report mentioned he didn't wave a gun around..
I wouldn't necessarily trust the news reporting either:Soriya wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 10:12 pm I live 50 metres from where this happened. Have been in the bar tonight. No gun was waved around from what i understand. Bill was paid or attempted to be paid, poloce where already present when they returned, what happened then,no idea. Maybe he got mouthy.no idea.from my understanding he what,i .would call, resisted arrest.maybe the gun was found on him. No local there has said he brandished a gun
I see a pic of a gun on the ground. Was that his? Or, was he set up? No pic of a punched victim.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 10:32 pm Also, local "journalism" isn't above just fabricating some horseshit from the Chinese whispers of bystanders and a few pics.
Not defending him but I don't necessarily believe the original story I read. The only fact seems to be he was arrested and the prosecutor is apparently building a case for court.
Hopefully we'll find out as things unfold.

Sure, maybe he just walked into the bar and ordered a beer and then a Khmer guy threw him to ground and put a knee in his back and took out a gun and put it on the ground next to him and called the police and falsely accused him of waving a gun around.clutchcargo wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 9:37 am

Perhaps it's just a coincidence that the poster here who repeatedly posted about guns, guns, guns got framed by evil Khmers who falsely accused him of waving a gun around.
Almost every arrest of a Westerner prompts ridiculous claims online that he was "set up" because Khmers wanted the Western guy's money or because he "knew too much."

Totally agree locked up just for gun possession, never mind whether he was an arms dealer or trafficker. And locked up many more years for unconscionable fashion sense. It's just awful.
