The Inspirational Story of Vann & Ivy Guesthouse and Restaurant.
Just added to the series of Siem Reap cafes and restaurants... 'The Ivy'.
Essentially, this is the story of Vann, owner and chef of the city's longest-running budget guesthouse. Featuring love, friendship, Tomb Raider, tragedy, heartbreak and Pol Pot's toilet seat. If you enjoy this piece, please share!

This is part of a long-running series. Any suggestions on new places to cover, please get in touch.
Regards,
Leighton.

I stayed here in 2006 during my second visit to SR. The toilet seat was proudly on display at another Ivy location at the end of Pub Street. Possibly called Ivy 2?

Used to stop there on our Annual,Anchor Dirtbag scrambling tours. Didnt really know Vann, but knew her hubby,Carl,a very nice guy. They had an absolute sweetheart of a woman working for them loyally for many years. Sitha. May still be there. A true icon in S.Reap before most people even knew Cambodia wasnt in Africa.
