Woman's Body Found Floating in the Tonle Sap River

Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: The body of an unidentified woman in her thirties was recovered from the Tonle Sap river after it was spotted floating by local fishermen on 26 April 2020 at Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh.

The police forensic authorities were called to the scene to examine the body, and they found two stab wounds to the abdomen. It was also established that the woman has been dead for several days.

Police have launched a preliminary murder investigation and they are looking for relatives or friends of the deceased woman in order to identify her and find a motive for her death. In the meantime, the body has been taken to the local pagoda.
