Cambodia News (Takeo): On April 22, 2020, at 8:10 am, a 20-year-old man, Yon Rangsey, hacked his brother in law to death with a meat cleaver in Tasen village, Treang district, Takeo. The victim, identified as Sor Vuthey, 53 years old, died immediately at the scene.

The motive for the attack remains a mystery, but suspect and the victim were drinking together at a party when they got into an argument. Then the suspect grabbed a cleaver and attacked the victim, hacking at him seven times before he ran away to escape. The police have launched a manhunt for the presumed murderer.

The recent spate of these attacks has prompted TV executives to begin production on the new TV show Leave it to Cleaver.

I don’t get the cleaver/beaver thing. Closer to an axe wound.
