Chinese Attempts Hit and Run on a Tuktuk Full of Family

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On April 21, 2020, at 12:10 am, a Chinese man drove his car into a tuk-tuk, injuring a family, on national road 2, Sangkat Chak Angreng, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh. After hitting the tuk-tuk, the Chinese man tried to drive away from the accident scene.

The woman victim said that before the incident, she and her husband and her daughter were riding in a tuk-tuk from the market to their home in Sangkat Chak Angreng. Suddenly, an Audi Q7 car plate no. PP2Z-5878 drove up at high speed and smashed into their tuk-tuk. The tuk-tuk was overturned, injuring the passengers, and spreading their goods all over the road.

The Chinese driver didn't stop at the scene and tried to drive awayin the damaged car, but the local police stopped the vehicle and detained the driver.
In the end, after police negotiation, the Chinese driver agreed to pay for US $2000 in compensation to end the argument.

Damn. You'd have to hit pretty damn hard to completely flip a tuktuk full of people.
I hope the poor guy who owns the tuktuk got paid too. I'm sure his stuff was fucked up.
Did the family not have to go to the hospital? I'm really surprised if someone wasn't pretty banged up in that crash.
Do you think the parents of baby boomers whined so much when the boomers started changing society? And yet the whiney ones like to call young people "snowflakes." Hmm...
