Local People Bitten by Puffer Fish in Battambang Park
Cambodia News (Battambang): On April 19, 2020, some people reported that they were bitten by Pufferfish while playing in the water in Love Flower Park, in Kampong Tok village, Somlot district, Battambang.
The victims' lives are not in danger, but the victims are being treated at the local hospital.

My dad was a scuba diving instructor and when we I learned to dive with him, he told me to not mess with puffer fish (some instructors would handle them to show their clients how they puffed up) as he considered some of them quite aggressive and packing a nasty bite. I have seen larger puffer fish crack mussels, so their bite is quite strong.

There have been quite a few cases here, as far as I know the fish is just eaten whole without removing the toxic parts.
