Temporarily bypass any fuse with a piece of wire. But not permanently. Can cause a fire.

Good to hear.
As suggested, try to get the fan motor rewound, plan b would be to see if the company has replacement parts, plan c is get another fan with the same airflow and jury rig it.
Good luck
up to you...

cheaper than new unit

suggest in future use duct tape to stick power input to dryer so that its impossible to connect without transformer
Thanks, it must have been something really simple. I didn't see him do it but my partner said he just soldered something and it was done.

But actually we had a really hard time finding someone to fix it, because the first and second places we went they could not fix it because they couldn't detach the fan blade. Without detaching the fan blade they couldn't look at the fan motor. Finally the third guy was able to detach the fan blade and fix it in a few minutes.

Agree with your suggestion about taping it to the transformer, that's a good idea...

Thanks for your advice, seems to be set to go. The first guy actually told us to contact the company as he couldn't detach the fan blade. Obviously that would be difficult as there is little freight going in between these days.
