Are cambodian people speak english?

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

No actually nerve damage in the fingers and the lack of caring, the message was obvious even to you, a self appointed spell checker?

Just a light-hearted joke I think. I hate "grammar nazi's " too, but in the context...

how about you try to learn the language? you certainly won't be moving here any time soon with all the restrictions so I suggest you use the time to learn to speak Khmer. Would anybody get by in your country if they didn't speak English? If you are committing to live here for a year and truly want to get the best experience, be able to shop in local markets, engage with the locals, go off the beaten track then knowing Khmer will be great for you. Many Cambodians of course do make the effort to learn and speak English so you can easily live without bothering to. However, don't get angry if people don't understand you or frustrated when you can't explain to a driver how to get somewhere or don't understand the price of something and think you are being cheated just because you don't speak the language and they don't speak English.

Sure why not. As long as you don't want to be an English teacher. Just come and see for yourself.
