Wife Slices Husband's Throat Because She Had No Money for New Year

Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On April 16, 2020, at 8:45 pm, a 32-year-old woman, Tim Mao, used a knife to slice her husband's throat because she was angry with him, in Ouchrao district, Banteay Meanchey. The victim named Kuch, 41 years old,was seriously injured by the attack, but his days are not in danger.

Before the incident, the victim and his wife were drinking with their neighbors in the village. Suddenly, while the man was drinking, the suspect pulled his ear and sliced his throat with a knife, causing the bleeding over the body, and he then passed out. The victim was sent to the Oubey health center and continued to Poipet hospital for emergancy treatment. The suspect was arrested by police.

The suspect said that she attacked her husband because she was drunk and angry with him, and she didn't have any money for Khmer New Year. The police are preparing the case for court.
