Why kids sext...

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Why kids sext...

Post by Anchor Moy »

Kids don't think it's a big deal, but in some US states (and probably elsewhere), sending a photo of yourself (naked) can make you a sex criminal if you are under a certain age. Shouldn't there be a clear legal difference between stupidity and perversion ?

Yes, it is absolutely asinine that a child can be charged with distributing child porn.

There should be but there isn't. There is huge debate about this in South Australia as well. Not just about how ridiculous that serious charges like this are being given to youths but the sexism involved. In teen sexting cases it is only the male being charged and in underage sex cases where both parties were under the age of consent again only the males are being charged.

And possibly charged as an "adult," LoL.

(Just to make that more of a tongue twister.)

Welcome to America, the land of the not so free. Get you in the system (at any age), take away your rights and spit you out the other end with nothing, no future and a criminal record. (Oh! and you had to pay attorneys to represent you every step of the way.) America, 2,200,000+ in jails/prisons.
