Some of the UK's budget airlines have given dates of when they will (will try) to commence normal schedules:

Ryanair 17th June

Jet 2 17th June

Tui All holidays up to 14th May are cancelled. All cruises until May 31st (Who is going anywhere near a cruise?)

B.A. "BA have yet to announce a date for when they expect to resume commercial flights.
However if you are due to travel between now and May 31, 2020 you can claim a voucher to the value of your booking. It is unclear if the airline will continue to offer vouchers or if the flights are expected to go ahead from this date."

So, assuming this virus is under control (for a while at least) by the end of May, it may be possible to get a flight a few weeks afterwards. Next step is to get governments to allow transit flights, such as Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Then allow tourists to come in.

Then I need someone to fly from BKK/KL/SIN to PNH, Cambodia to drop it's 14 day quarantine offer and THEN I can get home!

Got that already, it's the best outgoing each month I pay (after beer, birds, pizza.... ok it's not the best, but I still got it)

It's the free 14 day all inclusive holiday, courtesy of the government, that is the deal breaker for me.

If it were up to the airlines, I'm sure they would still be flying now. The reason they're not is largely because of enforced travel restrictions imposed by governments. Apart from lobbying, the airlines don't have much control over that.

I'd say that the decision on when to begin flying again will be almost exclusively influenced by governments, not individual airlines.

Well, if that is the case then the fares will by sky high (sorry) or the planes empty and getting cancelled more often then they fly.

I see Philippines are offering a cheap enough one way LHR-MNL-PNH, but I can't book it until the restrictions come down.
