Re: Looking for work
Waiting for the wheels of government to turn to get the visa... it’s really slow. Still waiting for the visa for missus.
Why do you want to marry your Khmer better half? For her sake, or yours? If for her sake, the Cambodian government does not recognize marriages abroad. Only the marriages made in Cambodia. For yours, it doesn’t matter where.
Good luck to the both of you, OP!

Re: Looking for work
Thanks for the replies everyone,
newkidontheblock we will be getting married for both our sake, I am content with getting married here in Cambodia as when I want to take my wife to Ireland I believe it will save some complicated questions like:
Why did you get married abroad and not in Cambodia? As someone has also said there will probably be an issue with my girlfriend getting the certificate of no impediment at her embassy if we get married abroad.
I am happy to wait around for the documents to be finalized and for our wedding to take place, it is just I am looking for a job that is not teaching related.
I just like to have something to do on a daily basis, I would take on a part-time/helper job just to have something to do.
Thanks in advance
John

Re: Looking for work
John,
Are you still in Cambodia and have you found work yet? I may have an opportunity for you, if you're still in town.
