Re: P.P to SHV - best travel time
I have done the trip many times in lots of vehicles. Some days the road is virtually empty but I would never attempt a record run. It’s just too dangerous. Someone just set a 27 hour Cannonball Run record during the lockdown. The two previous record holders said it was the record and that’s it. A mate of mine set a record 40 years ago from Auckland to Wellington. It was 6 hours or so, he did it several times in two different Bathurst Monaros under five hours I think. I must ask him.

Re: P.P to SHV - best travel time
I knew a guy who did the SHV run in just under an hour. He's no longer around.
I've done it in about 1:45 from TTP to Golden Lions, and I wasn't trying for any special time, and didn't exceed 160km/ph at any time.
That was 2014.
But it's a shit road. I'd rather travel via Kampot anytime.
