Sucks, but I rather shit to be back to normal and to stay normal here, the worse thing to happen is a 2nd wave in September/October ... Plus a stable Australian economy will be the best thing for the AUD and therefore future travels

China's new coronavirus cases rise to near six-week high
Se Young Lee, Lusha Zhang

2 Min Read

BEIJING (Reuters) - China reported the highest number of new daily coronavirus cases in nearly six weeks, driven by a rise in infected travellers arriving from overseas and underscoring challenges Beijing faces in preventing a second wave of COVID-19.

A total of 108 new coronavirus cases were reported on Sunday, up from 99 a day earlier and marking the highest number of cases since 143 cases were reported on March 5.

The total number of confirmed cases in mainland China now stands at 82,160, while the death toll rose by two to 3,341.

The National Health Commission said on Monday that 98 of the new cases were imported involving people entering China from another country, a new record and up from 97 a day earlier. The number of asymptomatic cases fell to 61 from 63 a day earlier.

Though the number of daily infections have dropped sharply from the height of the epidemic in February, China has seen the daily toll creep higher after hitting a trough on March 12 as the virus spread globally. Beijing is concerned that infected people entering the country could trigger a second wave and push the country back into a state of near paralysis.

All to be taken with a very large pinch of salt!
What about the 21 million users who closed their cell phone accounts? Given you can’t do anything in China without a cell phone that is inexplicably linked to an individual. Everything about you is tracked and monitored.... it’s an Orwellian wet dream of control and surveillance!

The WHO was a complicit partner in the cover up and suppression of information that came and is still to come out of their lying mouths. The world needs to stand up and say “No!”.... all those countries who are at risk of defaulting (or who have already defaulted on BRI debt traps should regain control of their assets and cease all payments. Confucius Institutes should be removed from campuses across the world and, in general, we should stop pandering to Chinese influence.... which means recognising Taiwan and removing the China centric focus of institutions like the UN and WHO.

I watched this entire fascinating hour-plus documentary, tracking down the origin of the COVID19 virus and postulating that it could not have been a natural mutation. Give it your time. It's full of interviews with virologists, CIA types, Defence types, and Hong Kong and mainland doctors. A lot of work went into this and it's helpfully divided into 5 segments to keep track of the narrative.

The 5 segments:

01:55 Part 1 The Story of The Seafood Market
09:34 Part 2 The Mysterious Gene Sequence
17:47 Part 3 The Discoveries of Dr. Shi Zhengli
28:50 Part 4 The Secret of the Wuhan P4 Laboratory
43:43 Part 5 Facing The Pandemic

In short, the CCP was developing a bioweapon as part of its paranoid no-holds-barred weapons development policy. This documentary is very well done and very convincing that the CV19 somehow leaked out of a Level 4 biosecurity lab, which was poorly secured.

It's presented by Epoch Times, owned by Falun Dafa. Yes, they are branded "an enemy of state security" and fatally suppressed by the CCP.

In grim milestone, United States logs world's highest coronavirus death toll
Maria Caspani, Jonathan Allen

7 Min Read

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The United States surpassed Italy on Saturday as the country with the highest reported coronavirus death toll, recording more than 20,000 deaths since the outbreak began, according to a Reuters tally.

The grim milestone was reached as President Donald Trump mulled over when the country, which has registered more than half a million infections, might begin to see a return to normality.

The United States has seen its highest death tolls to date in the epidemic with roughly 2,000 deaths a day reported for the last four days in a row, the largest number in and around New York City. Even that is viewed as understated, as New York is still figuring out how best to include a surge in deaths at home in its official statistics.

Public health experts have warned the U.S. death toll could reach 200,000 over the summer if unprecedented stay-at-home orders that have closed businesses and kept most Americans indoors are lifted when they expire at the end of the month.

Why would anyone not expect the USA to have the most confirmed cases of any country? They have the third largest population in the world, behind China and India, and they lead the world in testing, with twice as many tests already completed as the next country: Germany (2.8M vs 1.3M approx).
As of now, their reported deaths per-capita are lower than many European countries, yet people only focus on the absolute number of deaths that get blasted in their face daily by TV and Facebook, and then stick their noses in the air and point at what a horrible job Trump has done in this situation.
I’m no fan of Trump (and I’m not an American), but people need to have some perspective. Not so long ago, American politicians, on both sides, were talking down the threat, and encouraging people to carry on as usual. As recently as early February, politicians around the world, and even the WHO, were advising against closing borders. Trump hasn’t helped the situation, but he is far from the sole contributor to this mess.

Another bit of perspective: If Germany, Italy, Spain, France, and The UK were to be counted as one country, for the sake of statistics, they would have a smaller population than USA by around 35M, more confirmed cases by over 100K, and about three times as many deaths as the USA does now.
When you step back and look at the big picture, maybe the United States isn’t doing so badly after all, considering the circumstances.

I support the Falun Gong - simply because i do not believe in the suppression of nut-job spiritualists of any stripe by any state.
However, i do not take my medical advice from right wing spiritualist nut-jobs.

Wikapedia on Epoch Times >>
The Epoch Times is a multi-language newspaper. It was founded in 2000 by John Tang and a group of Chinese Americans associated with the Falun Gong spiritual movement.
Though the newspaper is known for general interest topics with a focus on news about China and its human rights issues, it has become known for its support of U.S. President Donald Trump and favorable coverage of far-right politicians in Europe; a 2019 report showed it to be the second-largest funder of pro-Trump Facebook advertising after the Trump campaign.
The newspaper is part of the Epoch Media Group, which also operates New Tang Dynasty Television (NTD).[7] The group's news sites and YouTube channels have spread conspiracy theories such as QAnon and anti-vaccination propaganda.

Personally, I prefer sound genetic investigations to spiritualism
and accepted science over ex CIA agents gone weido.
But each to their own.
