Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: A suspected thief was arrested by the Daun Penh Police Department, the morning after he and a friend allegedly stole a motorbike from a woman at around 11 pm on April 5, 2020 at Street 371, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

The motorbike was stolen by two male suspects who hid the motorcycle at a railway station in Sras Chak commune, Daun Penh district. At 9 am on April 6, 2020, the Ministry of Interior's criminal police force searched the GPS system, which connected with the victim's motorbike, and this led to the police discovering the whereabouts of the hidden motorbike.

Police forces at the scene arrested one man in his underwear because he was still in bed and not yet dressed, while the other suspect ran away, dressed or not. The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Eriya, whose occupation is uncertain, but he is already known to the local detention center.

Currently, the suspect has been handed over by the Ministry of Interior's Department of Criminal Affairs to the Meanchey District Police to have his case processed. Police are still looking for the other man involved in the theft.
The victim was overjoyed to get her motorcycle back from the police.
