Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On March 2, 2020, at 12:30 am, a western man named OLIVIER RENAUD, was arrested for stealing a bag from a military officer in a coffee shop, on the corner of street 13/130, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

The victim of the theft, Sem Sunfy, said that on March 1, at 7:30 pm, he went to a coffee shop with his friend. He left his bag with all his stuff on the table and went to the toilet, while his friend went up to order the coffee and bring it back to the table. When the officer returned, he realized that his bag was missing. He requested that the coffee shop security officers check their CCTV cameras, and they saw that his bag had been taken away by a westerner.

The bag contained an ID card, a passport, a military certificate from China, 200 USD, 2 million riels, and a laptop. The officer went out and searched for the suspect and found him at an internet shop on street 13/130 later that evening. The western man was arrested and sent to the police station.

The military officer has filed charges of theft against the western man and police have sent the suspect to Khan Chamkarmorn police station.
It took 1 month to find the guy? :plus1:

Possibly so. Could be the perp was so zonked out on whatever substances he found in the bag that he never even got around to depositing all that cash.

What I'd really love to see though is that military certificate from China. That really is the icing on the cake!

CEO News edit: The OP has been edited to correct March as April. The theft took place at 7:30pm on 1 April, and the thief was found by the victim and arrested in the early hours of 2 April.

In the one thread you've gone from being surprised there was no substances in the military guys bag, to the military guy being smart enough to keep the substances in his pocket, and now to the perp being zonked out on the military guys substances.

Fuckin lol  I think you've got the substances mate.

What's the big deal with the certificate? Are you not aware that the RCAF trains with the PLA?
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Of course I am. In that case it is a common military certificate from China. So why cant we see it? Something more sinister or secretive? We have no idea who the foolish plaintiff is. Why was he so ballsy that he thought nobody would touch that bag? Lots of open questions in this case.
