The one on the 5th was from the biggest Casino there, so I don't know whether or not Thai people will need to officially exit/enter.

I'd take these announcements with a grain of salt. It's not unlikely that the dates will get pushed back, depending on developments on both sides of the border.SiemReapRoddy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 6:45 pm I've heard poipet will reopen to people on 5th or 22nd of April.

I'm definitely taking them with a grain of salt, apart from Air Asia which should probably start flying again if they're filling up all their seats.
As far as I know foreigners aren't actually banned from Cambodia and it's just hard to get their by air right now.

I was just randomly looking at flightradar24 just now. There seems to be an extraordinary large number of aircraft heading for Thailand. In particular there are a number of large passenger aircraft heading for Phuket right now from places like Russia, Switzerland, Finland. It makes me wonder who is on these aircraft that they are able to fly to Phuket now. I suppose they could be empty heading to evacuate their citizens.

I'd like to think the Russian planes are charters flying empty to pick their last remaining tourists here.samrong01 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:08 am I was just randomly looking at flightradar24 just now. Once the countries start to realize what the effects of the lock-down are on other aspects of society than healthcare they will change their directions.SiemReapRoddy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 6:45 pm I've heard poipet will reopen to people on 5th or 22nd of April.

That is what I think will happen, especially in South East Asia.Kammekor wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:41 amOnce the countries start to realize what the effects of the lock-down are on other aspects of society than healthcare they will change their directions.SiemReapRoddy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 6:45 pm I've heard poipet will reopen to people on 5th or 22nd of April.

If they don't let tourists in soon it's going to have a huge impact on the ecomony, which could lead to riots and high crimes.
Even in the UK where they have billions to help out citizens it's going to be a complete cluster fuck.
